Quick post: Gavin turns one!

Gavin turned one year old on May 6th! It feels like it's only been a couple months in some ways, and it feels like it's been several years in others. We didn't want to go too crazy for his birthday, so we tried to keep it simple. I'm not sure we succeeded.
I am happy to report that he truly enjoys most of his presents so far, although I think I might like playing with his ball popper more than he does. :)
Doesn't he just look too old and grown up now that he's one year old?! At his 12-month checkup he weighed in at 19 pounds (5-10 percentile) and 29 inches long.

We followed the tradition of my sister and took a picture of Gavin with the same stuffed animal every month. Here's the unbelievable progression of change that occurred in 12 short months.
Newborn
1 month
2 months
3 months
4 months
5 months
6 months
7 months
8 months
9 months
10 months
11 months
12 months
What a sweet boy! I can't believe how much he has changed. I love him more every day!!

He is such a cutie! I wish we got to see more of him! I love the progression pictures. I especially love how from 8 months on he looks like he's really not sure he wants his picture taken with that stuffed animal anymore. It's like he's thinking, "Okay, Mom, this was a baby thing. I'm totally past that now."

Oh wow, that doll looks so huge, then so tiny. Good job remembering to take the pic each month!
