Gavin is such a fun baby! Here are some pictures as well as some details of what he's doing right now.
He's still not crawling, and not really showing any interest. He is a champion roller and rotator, though, so he manages to get around just fine. Also, he loves his daddy! :)
I really think he's going to crawl any day now. He sometimes pulls his knees up under him while he's playing in his crib.
He has showed a renewed love of Baby Panda. He puts his face right up to the mirror on the last page (like actually touching it) and talks to himself. It is too sweet! He still loves to read books and turn the pages by himself.
He is just such a happy baby--I love his sweet face! Right now his favorite thing to do is to chase or be chased by Rob or me while one of us is holding him. He seriously screams because he gets so excited! He kicks his legs and swings his arms so fast. I'll be really sad when he isn't amused by that anymore.
He loves his Exersaucer and standing in general. If you hold him on his feet, he rocks his bum forward and backward like he is in his Exersaucer. He will play by himself for a long time in this, especially if you give him a few snacks.
He has never really been into sucking any of his fingers, but every once in a while he likes to chew his left thumb. He used to always keep his hand open, like in this picture, but now he closes it. I miss the open hand! :)
He wants whatever mom and/or dad has, including the camera. If you're holding him and he sees something he wants, he dives for it. He puts all his weight and willpower into it.
He gets excited when I bundle him up because he knows that means we're going outside to check the mail or go for a short walk.
I just love this picture!
A couple weeks ago, Rob took off a weekday and it was the best!! He normally works Monday through Friday and I work Saturdays, so it's rare that we have time to do anything together during the day (except Sunday, of course, but that rules out doing anything that isn't Sunday-appropriate). It's been a long time since we had a day to just do whatever we wanted to do all day long. It was so fun! We ran some errands and went out to dinner. We are pretty sure this is the first time we've eaten at a sit-down restaurant since Gavin was born.
Gavin normally eats like a champ. He loves his oatmeal, veggies, and fruit, as well as just about any snack I'll put in front of him. Lately, though, he has had a decreased appetite. He has had bronchiolitis AGAIN for about a month. Poor boy! I would estimate that he has thrown up on about 25 of the last 30 days. He just coughs so hard that he can't keep the food in his tummy. I hate it! He is finally sounding a little better and his appetite is picking back up, although he no longer seems interested in any sort of fruit. Weird! Hopefully his interest in fruit comes back.
I love to hear him talk. He likes to chat a lot; "Da-da-da-da! Ra-ra-ra! Ga-ga!" It's sweet. He also does this thing where he opens and closes his mouth and makes a little clicking sound with his tongue. Cutest thing ever!
This last Sunday was so nice that we couldn't not take a walk! We didn't go too far, but it was so nice to get out! (And yes, Gavin is holding a bottle of antacids. What else would you expect for a rattle for a pharmacist's baby? He loved it!)
We had a good Valentine's day. We had some great food and let Gavin chew on a pen that says "I love you" on a heart that lights up if you push in the end.
He seemed to approve.
And finally, in case you missed it on Facebook, it's Bedtime Snack Gavin. He's eating a snack called a Mum-Mum. I love that he still does his happy boy chuckle, and I especially love the face he makes just before the 1.5-minute mark. (He also does the tongue-clicking thing I talked about.)
Yay for Gavin!

Oh my goodness you guys, this was such a great post! I loved hearing all about what he's up to and seeing the pics. He is just such a cutie! I'm so sorry he's been sick like that, that must be so hard to see him like that! Worrying as a parent is just horrible, horrible I say. I sure hope he was just getting it all out of the way and won't be sick for a few years now. His little devious laugh in the video is freakin' adorable and his silly chewing is hilarious. Thumbs up all around!
Oh my cuteness! Charlotte watched the video with me and she was quite enthralled with Gavin. She's also a big fan of the Mum-Mum's.
Love the pic of him getting ready to go outside. He is an outdoors boy. :) And I think the rah, rah, ga-ga is him cheering for himself. :)
Absolutely love the pictures and post! : ) Cutest little guy!
He is so big and SO CUTE!!!! AHHHH! My head a-splode.
