Rollin' with Gavin

During tummy time today, Gavin gave me a surprise . . . and I caught it with my camera!
He looks just as surprised as I was! :)

Joining in the Random Thoughts Thursday festivities again.  Seriously, you should all join in the fun! (Denise, you're off the hook since you did yours on Monday.)

Have you seen this blog yet? All I can say is wow. Okay, that's not all I can say. I'm jealous of the fun pictures she has of her baby, but I wonder how much time she spends thinking about it. It's got to be a lot of pressure once you start something like this to be able to keep it up. (See how I'm thinking of reasons this is a bad idea so I can feel better about myself for not doing something comparable? :)

Our tax credit check from the IRS arrived in the mail yesterday. Yayyyy!!!! Can you say new car? (Used, but new to us. We haven't found one yet; I'll keep you posted.)

Here are some random things I've been meaning to throw away, but thought it would be fun to scan them first.
I just love that there's a hot dog product called "Jumbo Jumbos." Not sure why this struck me as so funny, but it did. (Don't worry; I haven't been holding on to this one for more than a couple days.)
Here's a random picture of me and my companion dorking around on my mission. This was a day when we were gardening, which is why we're dressed like we are. We had this stupid dance we would do to warm up in the chilly morning, and apparently one senior elder thought it was entertaining enough to be picture-worthy. Not only did he take the picture, but he printed it out as an 8x10.
This one's my favorite. Outside the pharmacy I worked at in West Valley they had some health and wellness pamphlets, like one on nutrition in pregnancy and one on diabetes. And then this gem: "Your Crowning Glory: Beautiful Hair." Awesome title. And how about those great outfits? Classic!

I'm not sure why Blogger refuses to center my pictures. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Rob went to New York on Tuesday and comes home today. I miss him tons when he's gone, but it sure has been nice having a car every day. :) Again, can you say new car?!

Gavin's blessing

Yesterday was Gavin's baby blessing.
I am so thankful to have such a sweet, loving husband who honors the Priesthood and gave a truly beautiful blessing to our boy. Gavin was an angel the whole time, which was a relief since he missed the second half of his nap and was due to eat about ten minutes after the blessing was over. Rob said he just laid there with his eyes open the whole time.
I also wanted to say thanks to everyone who shared our special day. We were surrounded by people who love us, and it felt great.
